Our Story

Charlotte Hmong Alliance Church began in 1994 with a few faithful families who were devoted in meeting together as believers. They rented from an American church at the time but God had bigger plans for this church. Then in 1995, God blessed our people with our current existing church. The members at that time reached out hoping to rent from this church only to find out that it was ready to be sold. The sellers found out that our people were from the same denomination of C&MA and sold it to us for a discounted price. Of the few families, they were able to sacrificially raise enough money for the down payment needed. The church mortgage loan was finally paid off in 2010.

Throughout the years, we have had many faithful pastors shepherd our flock.

  • Xf Ntshab Vaaj Thoj (1995-2004) was the first pastor of our church.

  • Xf Ntsuab Kuas Thoj (1996-2002, 2006-2010) was a lay pastor.

  • Xf Tswv Xyoo Yaaj (2005-2011) brought revival to our church and trained young leaders by introducing TEE.

  • Xf Suav Yaaj Hawj (2012-2014) introduced younger leaders into leadership roles.

  • Xf Moua Thoj (2014-2017) helped lead our youth for three years.
